Kitchen
Hm. I keep thinking to myself I want mostly white but still being drawn to dark accents. I think this one has the right balance of dark elements (I.e., island painted dark rather than all cabinets. Countertops are dark but backsplash and cabinets are white; I really hope that we can do a lighter stain on the hardwoods if/when we refinish).
Yeah I've probably already saved this one LOL
Saving this as a NO. Downsides: off white instead of white. Reddish brown/pink undertones (vs blacker brown woods and grey in the tile/counters). HATE the tile backsplash behind stove (whereas other recent post had similar but silver/grey and was great).......Too traditional/farmhouse rather than MCM??
You know, I think I like mostly white, this is again, potentially not achievable on our budget or in our space but GREAT inspiration. I think I'm draw to the majority white, use of grey in the natural materials and backsplash, and black as an accent, plus dark floors. Did you SEE the accenting through pieces of furniture/butler area???
Definitely not achievable IMO for our architecture or lifestyle but I love the thought of using this as a starting point/inpsiration. I love the balance/level of wood/stone (that wraparound on the island - how fascinating!), white, color, light grey....Did you SEE the lighted elements (countertops/bar???)!?!?!?!
I think I'd rather have this overall feel than to have dark cabinets....but those color of floors are a long ways away.....
This is beautiful but something's not sitting right. Maybe I don't like the dark floor with all the light color? But the grey is gorgeous.
Still trying to make up my mind on dark cabinets....But anyway, the overall balance is attractive here. Seems like I am liking light woods more than walnut or dark.
OOH I'm starting to want drawer improvements like this.
A little too modern on cabinets probably but Q for Mandy - any objection to going for this color-wise (light cabinets, black/grey counters/backsplash), light hardwood floors (which will have to wait until the end LOL) OMG I JUST SAW THE REST OF THE HOUSE! GORGEOUS!!!
Something appealing about it, can't put my finger on it. Desk area in kitchen?
I like this and this was actually mentioned by the refacing guy, but will it date? (The white cabinets with colored backsplash)
sink inspiration?
Oh my God, this is beautiful. Not sure how to do this with our kitchen and a simple refacing....but...
I like the colors but would rather have inverted the white and the wood....(or maybe it's white cabinets but a warm wood-hued backsplash?
I like the degree of contrast with white overall
IF it works, one of the better solutions I've seen?
Not sure what I'm liking here. I think it is the updated cabinetry, which we discussed being out of the budget. But I think I like: majority white, some metal, some wood, and a pop of dark color (black/blue)
I shudder to think what this would cost, but I would LOVE THIS!!!
OK while I don't love the light blue, I find the proportion of colors appealing. Big presence of wood tone, but overall white predominates? Accents of black. And pop of color on cabinets? Maybe navy?
Lots to like. Window trim painted. Lots of white with grey and wood tones. Tone/color in light fixtures.
Pantry org?
Adjacent to bar/sink?
Whoah this could be cool oops there's a fireplace there.
Ooh the desk and ability to hide the clutter. LOVE
Not a huge fan of the table but I like light fixtures, beams, etc.
Different angle I think?
AMAZING. Love the modern feel. Probably NOT achievable but I like being inspired by 1) tile (color variation), 2) fundamentally white with wood, black, and metal accents
Points to ponder. Which are our priorities?
I think I like this vanity option - solid white with a greige color that's NOT marble/textured.
