Garden
This pool appears to have a 600mm retaining wall. When compared to the before shots, we like the way this wall with the glass fence, opens up the pool and links it to the rest of the garden. Also, if we wanted to have steps into the pool area at the northern end of the pool, we could do something similar.
like the style. This steps up to the pergola which is something we were considering and helps deliniate the pergola area from the pool area. If we didn't step up, it's a very large area at the back of the pool (6700 x 6800) and we wonder whether this risks looking a bit too large and empty?
This has the narrow coping only on left hand side and flat area at far end which look similar to the size we'd have approx 6000 wide and 6000 deep including open and covered paving area
Not interested in style but shows narrow paving around pool and pergola straight off the end of the pool. To be clear, we're not keen on either of those points and would like a wider paved area on at least one side of the pool (which we'd have to have given the retaining wall down from the lawn) and think we can benefit from taking up a little more of the space we have available at the end of the pool.
Like the pavers and with more greenery as we will have available, this could look good
Ignore the grass around the pavers in foreground but quite like the pavers around the pool.
paving colour and style
I like that the paving isn’t totally structured and the plants around the pool
I like this paving and the tiles (only if we go concrete pool!)
E.g. of what I don’t like so much ... yes, because it’s not integrated and looks formal
Pergola?
Way too busy but I like the plants and the natural stone
Pergola?
Cool chairs
This is the “before” shot of the photo’s straight after. It shows that with the planting the pool area looks enclosed and shut off from the rest of the garden, which we don’t want
