Interior General
From "sawmill". Unfinished White Oak (faux) Ceiling Beam. 6"w x 4"h x 19' long = $1235 each. We need 5 for Family Room. Maybe use same beams (but different sizes) for Laundry and Studio. Could finish in rich medium brown, and do interior doors also in white oak (TruStile), with same finish. Then do lighter white French oak floors, possibly quartersawn
Arched doorway. Maybe kitchen to breakfast room.
Do a glass wall like this in between Rec Room and Gym in basement. BUT, not with barn doors. Just do two hinged doors that swing both ways ideally.
FOR SURE WE WANT TO DO THIS RAILING. Stairs, railing/balusters.
Brown a good color for bedroom doors. Maybe do FMR beams, and Laundry Room and Loft Studio beams, the same stain
Good example of beam size, color, spacing. Ours will run this same way. But I don’t want a tray ceiling.
love this wallpaper.
Arched doorway for between Kitchen and Breakfast Room. Also, plank ceiling. Do on back and front porch. But not shiny finish. May also do on Breakfast Area ceiling
Beams are pretty spot on with what I'm looking for.
Beams a good rich medium brown. But floors in a light white (French) oak.
wainscoting. Good look for more formal spaces like Parlour
Subtle color on wall
Ceiling for Studio, Laundry. But don't paint beams
Ceiling for Laundry and Studio. But not painted
arched doorway, windows
Stephanie loves the full half-circle arch. It would be good to do some kind of negative ceiling or arch from Kitchen to Breakfast Room. Does an arch like this, or less of an arc (maybe it starts at 5 to 6' on sides vs. all the way to the floor), work?
Wall of art
Cabinet wood color.
5-panel doors. White for closets, darker brown stain for room doors. These are perfect with the little trim piece around the edge of the rectangles. So not just a single sharp, 45 degree edge.
Wood/stain color
Arched doorway, floors.
Some doorways: 8" thick, a few smaller ones trimmed out, with arch
Wood floor
Brown door with white casing
LOVE the arched, deep doorway. Wish we could do this somewhere. One option is to MBR. Another is Library to Library Hall. Nice, wide fireplace. Our fireplace would need to be a little lower, with a short and shallow hearth. The mantel needs to be low so the TV mounted above won’t be too high. Lower is better. Built-in, recessed bookshelves are good example for Parlour
Trio Thru Car. Opens in 3 places: mudroom, garage (back side), and basement. Note dimensions. But need construction guide dimensions.
Ceiling, walls. For Loft Studio
Window and beam wood stain color. This or dark brown. But for sure light tan wood floor
Ceiling, possibly for Library or MBR.
Nice example of tray, painted plank ceiling. Maybe for Breakfast Room (but in natural wood/stain), or for Library.
I like how the wallpaper stops before it gets to the ceiling, with some trim added as a border. Maybe add even more space (12-18" vs. the 8" or so here), and add crown molding.
Another shout out for good lighting
I liked this perspective.
For my education around stairs.
Lighting is critical. Probably need Lighting Consultant.
Ceiling.
Thick entry/doorway walls
Beautiful.
Pink. Want that as primary color in one bedroom and/or bathroom
Wainscoting, in general.
Best example of design for Parlour ceiling. (more formal option)
Note how beams go straight into wall and don't have any additional trim. This makes them look more structurally real. Also no tray.
Ceiling. We could paint the inside a different color. Maybe for MBR. But a light color-- light sky blue?
Ceiling. Possibly for Library? Or MBR?
Like this ceiling for Parlour
