For front hall?
These spindles are too narrow for me —I do like paneled wall behind staircase more than shiplap. Black metal spindles or white square wood spindles? Wooden handrail and steps? White newel post (I like chunky detailed ones) or wood (or combo)? White risers with wood treads ?So many details to discuss with a staircase! You can do either. I like bringing in the black metal especially if you do the black front doors! I think painted risers with wood treads to break up the wood. (It’s also safer for older people because they can see the steps). I agree about a beefy newel post.
Like newel, what kind of baseboards along wall? Hand rail or no hand rail? Way too many picture frames—feels so cluttered
Too white! No hand rail along wall? Here the shiplap might be just too much for me—and the staircase feels so cold...maybe too drastic a change from my warm wood
I can see a table between the chairs now that I see this. Yes! I prefer that look
Don’t like the asymmetry. I wouldn’t leave that space empty. There are other ways to make it feel balanced.
I’m looking at how each side of cabinets around fireplace could be different. Yes. That’s always an option
Could imagine faux cabinet fronts and shutters covering a flat screen tv on the left with real inset shelves and cabinets on the right. Possibly, we need to tape furniture placement out on the floor to get a better idea of placement and then access to bookcases.
Kind of like idea of chairs on either side of fireplace rather than a table or footstool between them (that seems too cluttered). Depends entirely on space and possible bookcases.
Cross Detail on bottom cabinet?
I like this chair fir corner (darker tan than couch?). I can see that. It’s close to the other chair fabric only solid. Connie is looking for a tufted chair for that space.
Although I like my couch color, in my mind I was going for a canvas fabric on the couch—more like a slipcover material. You do have the slipcover chair for the desk. I’m not a fan of slipcovers for practical reasons....expensive, not really conveniently washable, a bit trendy and on the way out, don’t know if you can get as a sectional. I think what we have chosen for you is going to feel very similar.
Bookcase (although I might want small tv option in corner) lighting inside??
Chandelier for great room? Maybe? Depends on beams of course.I also like for our bedroom!
White chairs with dark wood table for kitchen. I can see this! Or pedestal table with white wash painted base l, cross cross cushion chairs and darker top (but maybe lighter than dining room)
Light fixture like this fixture
What about this? Not crazy about fixtures
Room, furniture, fireplace love this space...I really like wall color here too. That’s a pale greige. I like it!!! Me too—love that color!! I also like idea of chair with ottoman here...like this chair for corner
Lighter rock? Pretty stone fireplace THINK THIS WOULD LOOK GREAT ON OUTDOOR FIREPLACE
Garry outside?
Maybe? YES!!!
Maybe?
Garry outside?
Garry? Granite cobblestone? Outside? I like this a lot.
Want to have Garry consider for outside? This is a more updated version of what you have on the house and would blend well.
This is what Garry wants outside
Maybe a lighter stone? Yes!! You used two different versions of this FP ??
Maybe this type of stone?
For porch?
Indoor fireplace?
For outdoor fireplace...
Painted cabinet with all the other elements. I like the color! Could see an island in kitchen in that color. Are you thinking dining room?My mom wants to gift me her mahogany break front when she passes (she is 93, but hoping she lives a while). I saw dark wood mixing in some photos?
Chairs for Kitchen. Depends on comfort of those seat backs. Like look, but not black color
Wall color. Maybe kitchen but not other spaces
Table. Maybe. I like rustic wood, but I would need to be able to sit at the ends..not sure how I feel about crosses on the bottom
Table and chairs (shape) and light. I’m assuming kitchen? Like round table, like light pendant, like style of chair, not crazy about pattern or color of them, love room though
Everything is a little too white and neutral overall. Prefer more rounded chairs, not crazy about fixture
Like
Table and chairs not a big fan of white washed look
Table and chairs. I like this look a lot more
Wood table with light chairs. Great look for kitchen!
I feel like I’m in Beauty and the Beast—probably too formal or French rustic? Too many beams
Beams and wall color. Wall too gray and cold, beams have nice rustic look but too hold—prefer other ones we saw
Beams ok gray washed—prefer other one we loved
I do love multiple paneled doors. I’m just not sure if this looks too farmhouse-y with that paneling. ???
Front doors. Love these doors with mirrored or frosted glass...can I move here?
