JJ's Ideas
Even though Wes & I spoke with Paul about creating a more open concept bedroom/bathroom type of suite, both of us like this idea of a private toilet area. Particularly for when guests will use this bathroom right off the recreation area. Still leaving us with the open suite concept, but perhaps butting the toilet pocket up against another wall.
Love, yum. The stacked stone wall is a great feature on a wall that doesn't house too large of a double vanity. Like the stone counter top (maybe soapstone?) Total relaxed vibe speaks to us. We even like the cabinetry color & style for use in the bathroom, wet bar, and laundry room.) The pendant lighting works because of the stone wall, and adds interest, yet is not intrusive. Do not care for the white trim, nor the white door. Do love the honey paint color on the walls! It's warm and can go nicely with many fabric and carpeting choices.
Knowing this is a partial look of a kitchen, it still caught my eye. We really like this look for the walk-up wet bar, with a small sink to the left, and lower cabinetry with a built in tinted glass front wine fridge. The open shelving for cocktail glasses above rather than more cabinetry. Could add some plants & framed family photos on the open shelving as well for extra interest. Would love a small subway tile back splash in a dark cream or light tan Travertine type tile, or stacked stone to tie in with the stone in the corner fireplace. Cabinetry is yummy too.
