Simple wall niches - shorter lengths not susceptible to bowing. Even better, use glass with side attachment clips for ultimate adjustability and easy cleaning. Chair would be good for end of new longer table in a different color, but shape is similar. Looks wide for Dan.
Simple small covered patio. Skip the wooden truss and change the roof angle to hip all around. Side tables in open area with extended porch. Like the inset planting areas around pool. Could be dog run if keep clean!
Lighted cabinets at top level. Would take all the way to ceiling so don't have to dust above. Lots of recessed can lights.
Cabinet finishes, light countertop, simple mirror, easy to stain. Set off by nice light fixture (but need one easier to clean)

Seating down slope with permanent cement, easy to clean, just bring pads and pillows. Would need a drain. Could do artificial turf around, low walls of stone. Set below height of above ground pool sunken into hill with this below.
Ceiling - easy with pre-finished moulding. Center lights. Easy wall treatment. Blue accents nice.
