hideaway table and working space if pool table being used "An alternative for those who have less room available, or for fans of convertible furniture, this solution can hide away inside a drawer: Friendly is an extensible table with a double leg that guarantees stability and a capacity of more than 100 kg, with the advantage of disappearing completely from view inside a drawer when you have finished using it. The same principle applies to Pixo, which does not rest on the floor and is fitted with a mechanism made entirely in aluminium. Once open, the top is perfect for a quick breakfast,
if we kept the peninsula idea I could have a sink in the peninsula! that would be nice as the idea place to work is facing the windows and then this space would be the place to wash things, prep, and we could convert the area with the current sink to other functions. i'm thinking that by being connected to the wall: near the dishwasher with the sink not so far away that they could run a water line through the cabinet without having to dive up or down.
I like the narrow mobile sitting space of this: and that it could be rolled to the porch area door for a party, pushed against the wall when not in use, and even into the living room for gatherings.... with lockable wheels something like this could be cool as I really enjoy flexible space - ping pong with a cleared room, divided sections in the dining area for breakfast nook creation or work space near a window on a sunny day of charting....
I like the simple lines here- again assessing island vs peninsula I'm favoring a peninsula as it saves money of running wires and as the door is in the same directions from the sink, may be fine not to be able to circle....
I like the simple visual this would make from the dining room, but would favor putting some storage there and fitting just 2 stools
2 levels, simple focus on the thinner bar area which can be kept clear of clutter
2 tiered with visual on the simple higher level, without taking up lots of space
I really like how this end bar takes the focus: the simple clean raised bar backed up to the counter height behind screens the dinner mess until after dinner (raised to counter height) - could spend more money on this visual and less on the cabinets in the kitchen maybe....
simple counter height bar height peninsula offers visual barrier from dirty dishes while dining, but allows work space of counter height- I only want space for 2 tall chairs really- more than that and you tend to sit at table or stand, and I like the other on left here that has storage for things like hot-plates, etc that you always need to grab while eating on the dining table
multi level island: I know less in vogue but I'm a messy cook and hate sitting down to dinner with the kitchen clutter in view and I like to mess things up when I cook and clean up after dinner-
I like the blue/white contrast
I love the skinny pull out drawer idea for dividing and storing cutting boards and such
