Stephanie and Gray- cabinets- living and dining rooms
The doors here are full overlay, and are a flat panel door with a moulding profile. The uprights are much thicker that the shelves, and the interior of the shelving area is painted a contrasting color. The base cabinet looks like it is about 6" deeper than the upper shelving. The complex baseboard runs across the front of the cabinet before continuing around the room.
The shelves and the uprights are both substantial in the shelving portion of this cabinet. The baseboard is square and has a 1/4 round at the bottom of it. Rather than running across the front of the cabinet, the cabinet panel echos the ht. of the baseboard. GOOD PROPORTIONS SHELVES TOO THICK BUT LIKE LEVEL OF DETAIL ON BOTTOM PART
This entry cabinet shows a baseboard detail on the base, a bottom cabinet that is deeper, and a bit wider than the cabinet above. The doors look like they are shaker. I would prefer to co a cabinet that goes right up to the ceiling, so the crown moulding in the room runs around the top of the cabinet. I do not like the fact that this cabinet stops 3 inches from the ceiling.
The door style on this cabinetry is a raised panel, with mouldings. The base style is a base board The doors are inset into a face frame The shelving is approximately 1" thick The uprights are approximately 2" THERE IS A NICE PEACEFUL PROPORTION HERE, SHE IS SAD THAT THE BOOKS HAVE TO SHARE SPACE WITH THE TV,
this photo shows two cabinet details: a false foot base, where rather than having a recessed base or a base board base, it has a foot, like a piece of furniture. In order to allow cleaning, this base often has a back plate recessed behind the foot, so dirt cannot go all the way back to the back of the space under the cabinet. Also face frame construction. The doors and drawers are fully recessed into a frame that is the face of the cabinet, so there is a frame of the face all around each door and drawer.
much different style of house, but like the casual book storage in a dining area.
I like the wood tones, the overall vibe in this dining room.
this is a built in looking piece with book storage, I like the vibe of this dining room, and the dining table. Maybe not a white painted piece of furniture though
a mixed function dining room. the furniture is too MCM for you guys, but there are the mid toned wood colors in the room
pretty wood tones, like the cabinets, might be nice in a dining room. Do not like the dark wood in the fore-ground.
more bookcases than you want in your dining room, and these are built in. However, it does show the book/office/dining room vibe that you want
too "country" but otherwise nice wood tones, and an eclectic mix of furniture in a dining room.
I know the dining table and chairs look super fussy in this picture, but I like the mix of furniture in the background.
note that this cabinet goes right to the ground, rather than having a toe kick area. I would guess you want a toe kick detail on your cabinets
These bookcases have just a tiny bit of closed storage at the bottom, and do not go deeper at the bottom. This might be an option for the entry.
we could go across above the archway, just saying. More books!
bookcases on either side of an arched opening
This is different in color and feel, but does help one imagine a bookcase on either side of the doorway
I like the simplicity of this hearth suround design, but do remember that Gray did not like how much the mantel shelf overhangs the rest of the hearth.
