Garage Addition
Am I right that this is somewhat how ours will look, with the pony wall adjacent to the sink and glass above the pony wall (in ours to the ceiling)? I think we can only get the 36" wide double sink, which is fine. I want it to mount by itself (not integrated into any sort of vanity). I am inclined towards shiplap in the area of the bathroom that isn't behind glass - floor to ceiling. And then a beefy mirror over the sink with a ledge under it (maybe even a mirror that has a ledge?) and then I really like two sconces hanging from the ceiling on either side of the sink. Will need help determining sconce style. Also, where are we putting towel hooks? And solar tube?
It's either matte black or this artisan aged natural brass for the color of the faucets...
Built-in bench in shower section is nice
Love this pocket door set against the shiplap...
I really like that extra bit of ledge on the right hand side - could put stacks of towels there that the pups couldn't knock over
Visually, I like looking at the tub at the back of the wall rather than this is orientation (this picture is an example of what I DON'T want to do, if possible).
Could we do this brown siding? Then if we built surrounds on A/C units, could use the same brown siding and metal roof (to tie in addition)?
Dig the white tiles that look like shiplap
If we were to use our porcelain, could lay it in this pattern
Really like these garage doors! Says from Compton Doors
Mudroom: Love this sink!
Mudroom area: I like that spiders cannot hide underneath the bottom and that cabinets go all the way to ceiling (to avoid dust gathering).
BDN office
Would love to have a shower separate from a tub like this (puppies in tub; adult dogs to shake in shower area so that water is contained). Only thing is MUST have a ledge to sit on and wand long enough, with enough pressure, to get all the way around dog. AND, a tether/anchor under shower nozzle so dog can't get away. Want tile all the way to ceiling so that cleans easily from shaking
If we were building new, this is a look I really love. Maybe not the brick, but the metal roof, siding, different textures, light fixtures...
Like the color, the cross bar; handles are okay; don't like small windows (would prefer no muttons), don't like straps
I like the width of the "wales" on the siding. Would like to use metal roof.
Like the cross bars and the plain glass; do not like straps or color
Want to be able to contain dogs so that they can't go to rec room. Love the idea of a "pocket" doggy door (has to be high though - maybe a 4 foot pocket door)
High ceiling, windows up high
I am drawn to a few bigger pictures for Max's stuff rather than a bunch of smaller. I think I'd like to have the garage side of the wall with smaller windows across the top and Max's work displayed, then on the yard side, a sliding glass door and giant windows (with minimal ledges for dust collection). Perhaps shiplap in between. Probably hanging lights rather than sconces (need help on that decision). For sure can lights.
Or, for "mudroom" area, could just do something like this. Place to hang coats, as well as put towels for pool/jacuzzi. Can we put a big sink there for puppy mess, since we have a hose spicket there?
This has a natural stone like ours will; want to have this light, airy feel (white, shiplap, some sort of hanging fixture BUT also can lights).
Ignore everything except the beams going across - for the ceiling, I'd like to either do an angled ceiling that has planking on it, or a regular ceiling with light wood cross beams (just a few) Either way, high ceiling.
Could just do one slider along the hall and then big windows that aren't operable (so no screens to mar the cleanliness of the glass)
I like the use of sconces in the hall, as well as skylights. Love all the windows, but look at all of the places for dust to collect! We need to minimize "dirt traps"... Also, do we need to be thinking about a door to cut off the rec room?
Want taller ceilings in hallway! For sure want to give it height and maybe windows across the top...
Don't want a boring ceiling on hallway. Could do chunky beams intermittently spaced (just a few), or a feature like this, or ... ?
That vent makes me wonder what our plan is for keeping the hall cool? We don't want to have this super hot hallway and then a cool playroom and a cool rec room...
Love this angled roof
Maybe we could do a higher window on the garage side so that we could get natural light into the garage, but not lose functionality of wall on both sides
Just a reminder to do sink in rec room (and ice maker)
Oh, this sink... LOVE.
Swoon! Could do black and white prints of Max's work and the puppies. LOVE that floor tile (I love all moroccan shapes), and didn't think I wanted brown tones, but here I am loving that shower tile... (and the burnished fixtures) - BUT, I really want the fixture coming out from the wall (not mounted on the sink)
Ignore all finishes - just look at width of surround on tub. Want to have wide ledge around whole tub and then handheld fixture coming from middle so that I can easily adjust temperature when washing pups; Want to have the entire thing a couple of feet away from a floor to ceiling piece of glass (so that when dog shakes, water is contained in "wet" area);
LOVE. Not turquoise, but love the board & batten, love the dutch door (for the access into the garage from the driveway)
These red cabinets are fun ... (like that there are minimal drawers; would want white interior to be able to see bugs)
Windows to hallway to let natural light in? Maybe opaque? Could do lengthwise across the top of that wall facing backyard
Like the red cabinets - ours need to be big enough to hold luggage (big pieces), serving ware like big trays and crock pots, ice chests, and then an overflow pantry for canned goods (if we put overflow like cheerios out there, need to be in plastic containers)
WAY too cluttered for me. Would want to maybe have cabinets or some way of visually reducing the "stuff"?
Don't know what kind of surface for garage, but want' to have it waterproof and bleachable (in case we wanted to pups in there) - high floorboards
Would be nice to have shoe storage, including place for muddy boots/umbrellas (maybe in "mud room" area?)
Like the storage from the ceiling, but MUST be solid so that spiders can't fall through
It would be really nice to hang our bikes in the garage
Big ledges around all sides; put handle in center so I can sit & wash pups but easily adjust temp; need hook for big dogs; want door all the way across (maybe with distance so dogs can jump out & shake & so pups can be outside tub
