Railings & Floors
Option #3: Least favorite of options. Easy fix!!! Paint the steps and trim to match the walls and just do a lovely carpet runner to go with darker floors. Use my other options of very open railings to give more open feel to overall house. Least favorite of options.
Could add more "fluff" to the upper portion of the balcony and keep railings toward hallway more simple.
Option to replace treads & fronts and just leave uncarpeted. Don't like clunking up and down steps!
HUM? Concept of white posts to blend in with trim and not look so "woody" and bulky.
This has wood styles rather than white trim.
Not our style but like different wood accent rather than spindles.
Simple but nice accent wall tie in; perhaps for Dining Rm.?
Option for the bottom of the steps is we don't change out the curved bottom step.
Simpler railing with wood atop but end is just simple finish versus curved one I really liked
Simple with combo rail and spindle wood posts.
Wood posts are leaner and squared off; more contemporary feel.
Neat wood accent at balcony level; could tie in with wood floors and wood on Living Rm chairs.
Like look but obviously we don't have wood baseboards.
Different type of railing! Fun and contemporary!
Different type of railing! Fun and very linear/contemporary!
Love the lighted staircase concept!! Next house!
