Pool Zahora
Simplicity
Built in sofa stonework
Grass, plating, paving to break up rectangular pool area
Fireplace/ outside comfortable seating area
Simple, inexpensive in comparison to some but decent paved area around pool to make sure sun loungers can fit in all around/ depending on where sun is
Flower beds between wall and patio to break up hard area and lack of interest
Simple buildings/ annex but work with contemporary pool. Like the steps and little areas of interest to break up otherwise quite uninspiring conversions
Love this casual seating area by the pool. Great place to read, chat, have sunset drinks and apperatives. Like the feature window/ opening too but not possible here with houses behind!
Paving same as house/ works with pool
Awful faux Greek pillars but steps across one end of pool not bad
Small grassed area to break up otherwise fairly boring area - pool not huge but ok, probably not big enough for us with 3 kids plus adults though
Pool and simple paving works still
Different landscaping areas and treatment works: paving, stepping stone slabs, slate in the beds and small stones - more maintenance with weeds etc though!
Lovely timber to create character in the veranda
Paving, mature flowers/ plants, extra interesting seating area
Hideous American bling but outside seating area and free flowing water sounds nice
Outside lighting good to get right at the start
Cabaña/ guest house wrap around pool. Buy prefabricated house? Cheaper and simpler than building?
Paving around pool and corner location in plot with greenery planted against fence/ walls
Pool paving/ grass mix
Small pool in corner of plot.
Lighting/ planting/ Moroccan/ wall feature
Crazy limestone paving similar to rest of paving at ours although different stone and ample sunbathing area/ less grass maintenance
Open dining/ sofa area to incorporate into new Cabaña/ guest house around pool
Simplicity but works
Outdoor chill area as part of pool/ bbq Cabaña area. Lighting and planting great to break up the area and create more interest- need to consider and factor in to our plot as flat and no views.
Creating proper pool space as part of the house as a whole
Greenery/ pots to soften hard paving
Building up more aesthetic practical above ground pool- horrid stone though and don’t like the stools! Only if we were to keep above ground pool
Beautiful and simple natural look to the area and to the steps going in which would be nice to sit on half submerged and easy to build into concrete pool design
Outside bbq area and pots around pool. Flowing water sound also nice
Planting/ corner
Corner pool
Paving similar to ours and works even if not what we would choose if did all paving from scratch
Lighting
Steps
Slide and shallow seating/ laying area
Tiling
Tiling
Pergoda and pool. Pergoda too big but a simple and cheapest way to add interest/ focal point
Small tile ‘lip’ around pool and green tiles but continuity/ flow with patio
