Mi front yard
A retaining wall planter framed front yard topped with short fencing like this might work for us.
I like the stucco courtyard walls and the gate. I’d enclose there whole front yard and do the gravel garden inside the courtyard.
might be nice to add 2 to front yard with teak root table to overlook water feature.
I'd like to widen our existing walkway with flanking pavers; which would make the semi rounds at the base of the steps wide enough to accomodate our stone planters, which will have to be moved when we put up railings and balusters.
We could replace the long floor planter bed with a fence like this, which would start where the privacy fence ends.
Alternative, to courtyard hedge in front.
maybe do a custom metal arbor/gate with wood framing.
I love this fountain!
This is the kind of thing I envision for the living wall raised bed.
I want to incorporate some larger stones like this into the gravel garden plantings.
I like the low boxwood framing the path and circle around the water feature. To keep the symmetry and feeling of Italian and Moroccan designs, we could do something like this coming off the center of the walkway on both sides. To the left it would lead to the fig tree. And to the right the water feature. to the left it could be a simple circle like this. But to the right, a Moroccan Star, or more intricate geometric pattern, framed in low growing box wood. the area outside the boxwood border would also be gravel, but be planted with Mediterranean style plants, have potted citrus and olives in the four corners. I also want one twisty type conifer like the contorted tamaracks at Netta's. Framing the courtyard would be a living wall of low growing columnar evergreens. Which would be planted in a raised bed preferably of stacked stone.
This effect with stepping stone paths through the front yard Italian/Moroccan courtyard gravel garden. I want a mix of Mediterranean type plants with texture- but I also want color.
This width- maybe arched and more height for our. arbor/gate. If we do wood instead of iron or copper, I want natural peeled wood branches for pickets for the little bit of opening on either arbor side where the large urn pots would sit.
I want to widen our walk way by adding pavers ti the sides of the sidewalk like this. That would help to accommodate the arbor/gate, and the large urns flanking it that would hold the climbing roses and clematis.
I like the feeling of this garden- less formal Mediterranean vibe, and with the bonus of attracting butterflies with the chosen flowers and vibrant palette. We could do something like this around a raised pool with fountain feature.
I like the planting- the color combo.
2 Adirondack chairs grouped in front of planter- overlooking pond/fountain.
Stone pavers through plantings
Raised bed planters in front of house- but tiled.
Perfect for entrance to walkway
raised beds up against foundation in descending levels to sidewalk
Terraced concrete and stone framed raised beds- entire front yard, retaining original straight walkway for now, until porch goes on- then path could change to new entrance.
The spacing of va the native plants, and rocks, highlight the Tess.
