Front door
Coral. Peachy medium orange-pink paint feels cheerful, inviting and also a little daring to use on a front door. Emphasize bold coral with exterior paint in charcoal or medium gray. In spring and summer, coral mixes well with lush foliage and tropical blooms, like creamy yellow angel’s trumpet (Brugmansia spp.) and peachy-petaled rose of Sharon (Hibiscus spp.). In winter, coral acts as a welcome bright spot in a darker, sparser landscape.
Front door. Of course your house already has a front door, but consider making it stand out with color. Many houses have side entrances or long front facades, making visitors guess where they are to enter. Give them a strong hint by painting your door in a color that stands out but coordinates with the rest of your house's color scheme. Doors painted in a different color from the house's trim are welcoming and make for a much more visually interesting front yard.
No matter the style of your home, you can’t go wrong with a pumpkin-orange front door. But if you opt for this hue for the door, I recommend sticking with more neutral colors for the siding and trim, unless your home is minimalist and contemporary in style. This is because the more clean and simple the lines of the home, the easier it is to pull off a bold color palette without the whole thing’s appearing too busy.
