Beautifying the Chase Home with Molly
Too modern for us, but I'd like to be visit there.
Oh how about this for the fabric thing, over our white painted brick fireplace.
My colors and feel!
I can't zoom in on this, so just saving blindly... I wonder if the clothes pin hanging thing and maybe covered magnet board are the way to go for rotating displays...
Or maybe the fabric prayer flag thing could go outside.
maybe a version of prayer flags like this is ok/more mature for downstairs??
I just picked this photo for the Tibetan prayer flags in the background because I couldn't find an example of something like this fabric triangle flag garland thing. I'd like to make and hang this. Does it have to be just in Emma's room because it's too cute and juvenile?! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=433409.0&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=#axzz36swNovCr
I think I might like to have an Obama Hope poster
I like how this is freshening up old-looking furniture. But it's too much mess on the wall and things still feel a little drab/old/dusty....
I really wish we could have a welcoming, comfortable guest space, but I don't know how/where.
I wonder if we should move Ben's globe into more common space. Or my office?!
I want to buy more of those lower right boxes-- upright paper/book storage.
Quirky art, comfortable but clean, textures, airy, plants, fun lighting, some stainless steel. I would like it better with warmer colors.
Playful, full of life, makes you smile
Joyful, colorful, whimsical. But no to hammock and no hanging plates. I like that it feels kind of cheap and cheerful. For some of my whimical art I was thinking this summer of buying a print from this artist Sam Toft. I think these are my favs: https://samtoft.co.uk/products/a-day-out-with-the-smalls https://www.art.com/products/p43510743054-sa-i10178822/sam-toft-electric-bike-ride.htm?upi=Q10NXI50&PODConfigID=8644069 https://samtoft.co.uk/products/a-pink-day
Magical lighting, clean, welcoming, warm
Big scale, textures, comfort, welcomes you to sit alone or with company
A little too worn and messy, but super cheerful, airy, colorful, textured. Feels lived in in a good way, and kind of connected to nature.
Maybe a little too much or too messy, and don't like the rug, but the right idea.
I don't want a swing, but the feel is great. Light, cheeful, energizing.
Ahhhh. But is it worth it, always pouring your boxes of stuff into these containtainers?? Although... I do feel very satisfied each time I do that with my flour, sugar, and salt.
So clean, so much clear floor! The tidyness seems unrealistic, but everything else feels kind of "accessible," like we're not too far from this.
I like but don't love this wallpaper, but the idea I love. Also, the hooks would be filled with more stuff and not in neutral matchy tones, so it would never look like this. But more color is ok!
I might like this because I like sewing and crafts. It's almost a little too bare. But certainly a clean slate for creating stuff! The spinning wheel is creepy.
I like the idea of getting attractive versions of some favorite books and using them for display/design. Also I could rearrange my bookshelf to be color sorted instead of subject and that woudl look nice! The camera and peacock are not exactly me, but I feel like there could be things like them.
I like the empty, warm tone frames on the textured wall and the white sheets. Feels like possibilities.
I loved all the articles I read on Houzz by this author.
Ah, so clean.
Seems like I'm repeating a lot of yellow, teal, and white, and beige things. Definitely some of my favorite colors. I like the idea of a window seat but thing they're uncomfortable. Like the water scene in the painting.
This window seat seems more comfortable/functional, I guess because of the shelves and lighting?
I like the house parts but not really any of the accents (rug, pillows are nice but not 100%, sitting a bud vase here seems silly)
This floor seems really realistic, like let's really let our snowy boots melt here! The wallpaper is too traditional and overall it's a little stuffy feeling.
Can you imagine each person having their own space?!
This feels really do-able.
I'm sure Matt would love this loggy seat!
Nice mix of country/farmhouse and modern/sleek.
This definitely feels close to our house and some of the style we already have. Ours is just a little warmer--probably we have a warmer wood tone and lighter gray.
Looks like this should be in Austin. Warm/hot, welcoming, clean, crisp.
Are these bricks full-on painted or white-washed?
