Rice—kitchen
Simple, clean, tailored
NEW WINNER: I love this pattern in white tile (Radius by Barbara Berry, through Ann Sacks). It evokes prairie/mission style but is more modern. And it will go with everything. I picked up a couple of samples in different shades of white, but there are MANY hues to pick from. I haven’t figured out how the repeat on this pattern works, but the sales staff at Ann Sacks says they can help. (These are all individual tiles).
This is a cool and inviting kitchen
I love the egg shaped pendants
I like the rhombus tile. But is it too mid-century for our house?
Subway tile looks more interesting laid this way. And the herringbone feels more modern using larger subway tile than smaller mosaic panels
Too many blue cabinets. But it looks nice with the marble herringbone backsplash. More traditional look overall than what I prefer
Like the warmth of the cabinetry. Maybe not a stone backsplash though.
The wood grain on the island is beautiful. Rest of kitchen is too stark though
I like the pendants although there are a few too many for my taste
This is a bit too industrial
Fun cabinet color
Similar orientation of stove and windows. Aesthetic is more traditional that what I prefer
Mix of natural wood and white painted cabinets seems to work
Like the contrasting gray cabinets for the island
I wouldn’t have thought to mix grays but this is nicely done
Like the dark cabinets, although I’d prefer something less stark than black and white
This is the kitchen in the house we almost bought. Herringbone subway backsplash is attractive and more impactful when laid all the way to the ceiling.
Relative placement of stove, windows, upper cabinets. Also like the patterned backsplash although I would probably get tired of that quickly
Interesting shelf straddling the vent hood. This kitchen is WAY too white though
Like the coordination of color between the backsplash and cabinets under the island. Scale of the tile seems too large
Dark hex tile backsplash. Like the color contrast with the counter and cabinets
Coffee cabinet
Contrasting tile behind stove
Configuration of stove, windows, and upper cabinets
Like the herringbone tile, perhaps not this color though
I saved this to visualize the orientation of the stove, upper cabinets, and windows. I also kind of like the big egg-shaped pendant lights
Like the backsplash and the warmth of this kitchen
Colored cabinets in island that echo accent color of backsplash. Also white upper cabinets
The dark lower cabinets makes this space feel grounded
That’s a nice idea. Perhaps by the stove?
Clever use of baseboard-level space for storing flat items. I’d like to do that for cookie sheets and baking pans
Comparable configuration of stove, upper cabinets, and windows. The oversized light fixtures are striking
Not the style, but the window, stove, and upper cabinet configuration here is a helpful comparison
The rhombus tile backsplash is attractive.
Like the egg shaped pendants above the island and the contrast between dark cabinetry and light walls
Useful storage drawer configuration for placement near stove
Nice color for cherry cabinets that coordinates well with the oak flooring
