Reconnect With Nature…
Following the huge push towards eco lifestyles and understanding our effects on the environment, this trend, known as ‘Repair’, is all about embracing organic, nurturing materials. Materials such as timber and leather, for example, that will help you reconnect with nature.
Try and take a more considered approach to the objects you choose for your home and look out for furniture and textiles made from sustainable sources, as well as favouring vintage, repurposed and recyclable products.
Displaying plenty of obscure and wayward houseplants will also encourage a relaxed vibe, as well as a wabi-sabi approach that appreciates the beauty in imperfection.
Colour tip: Build the scheme by starting with a backdrop in an earthy neutral, then layer the look with rich greens and spicy notes in cinnamon and sienna tones.
Do today… Walk barefoot in the park or on the beach to reconnect with nature and reinforce a sense of tranquility into your life.

…And Take Time to Disconnect
Treat yourself to a digital detox and create spaces that encourage stillness and quiet so you can revive your spirit. Look to subtle textures and minimalist features to create distraction-free zones, while soft, comforting furnishings will offer a metaphorical hug as we seek to mentally declutter.
The gentle, harmonious colour palette, referred to as ‘Wholeself’, is the key here, where every tone works with the next to complement, calm and soothe. Your home should be your temple where you can turn down the volume and tune back into your own rhythm.
Colour tip: With 2019 seeing an emphasis on wellness and mindfulness, this palette of gentle shades, such as mauve-grey, powdery pinks and soft golds, will help create the perfect serene setting.
Do today… Set yourself a challenge to have a certain amount of digital detox time every day and create a zone at home where no screens are permitted.
