The contrasts of browns and whites in the wood here looks very nice. Sometimes, certain brown stains and whites don't seem like they should go together. The floor color maybe has something to do with that. Don't know if I like how white the ceiling is, because it seems to hide the white crown molding, which I think should stand out more. The one thing I'm concerned of is using too much white wood work and making the house feel too sterile. At the same time, I don't want to use so much dark wood that it feels too traditional and stuffy. Maybe we use an off white wood work. One note since we are doing a large, expansive window above the sink. Although I do want a winder ledge, the window sill in this photo sits too high above the main counter. Refer to the other photo detailing my preferences about the kitchen sink window. The other photo shows a perfect ledge height.
I very much like the stain color here as well. Tile color is nice. Not sure about counters or the ornate chandelier. The contrast of white woodwork with the cabinet stain color looks nice. Maybe too many recessed lights above sink area. Some of the wood detailing is too much. The colors are very pleasing though. I like how the refrigerator is completely concealed. Sometimes they are paneled, but you can still tell exactly where the refrigerator is. This is a total blend which is what I want.
I like this stain color on the cabinets. The hardware color is very nice too. For some reason, the cabinet on the lower right looks too red to me, but the colors where the light shines is beautiful. It's a nice even color without looking too red. I like the panel detailing. I would like to look at different options for the crown trim on the top of the cabinets.
I like the height of the windows with the transom. This is what I would like to replicate over the kitchen sink. The overall window expanse will be about 8 feet, with the center window over the sink being the fixed, widest pane. Flanking windows on either side of center window will be the ones that crank out with the transom dividing over those windows. I like the granite sill that runs to the windows in the window box, and I like the depth of the sill. Tile backsplash on wall between main counter and granite sill. Don't think I want muntins in the windows. This photo shows cabinets to the ceiling, but we will have space between the top of the cabinets to the ceiling and have accent lighting on top of the cabinets. I also like how the main counter bumps out around the sink area, making a larger work area when washing and drying dishes. I would like to consider different types of undermount sinks (maybe a 3 basin sink with garbage disposal in center)
