Pool - For Dona
so, this is kind of what we were thinking with back wall (more water features) but I'm not totally crazy about this stone
The height of this wall is 6' ... we like it! I was worried about kids jumping in and hitting ledge (because we would need it for the pool cover?)... but this looks ok. Metal fountain spout things are a little much though. Wrapping my head around the whole back wall being stone without looking like "too much stone" when you look into the yard...
we like the slide without having the huge rock formation thing, it's subtle
We like the hedge/tree privacy
So .. almost exactly like this ... a taller wall in the back (5-6ft), with water feature, and little planter behind...
For the "Back Wall" .. if you are looking straight back from our back door, and the wall along our back neighbors fence ... we were thinking a taller wall with stone work and a top trim. We want something for kids to "jump off" Not sure if this makes sense? So we planned 6 ft wide "planter ... 3 feet of planter ..hedge/shrub to cover fence, and then 3 ft for the wall, platform. It's not exactly a walkway ... but something for kids to possibly jump off, hang out
we don't really like this "stacked stone"
BUT, we don't want it looking like this .. too much.
We like the stonework in this photo -- if you recall, we have more gray-ish color on our outdoor fireplace, BBQ area, covered patio area .. would be nice to match.
Johnny likes this type of baja shelf ... not steps throughout, but a little area with steps.
We like how the jacuzzi is flush with the baja shelf. We'd choose another type of trim (tile). Also, like the water features coming from the back wall. Although we'd like our wall to be higher.
