I don't particularly like the Mac workstation against the wall, but the large worktop around the room, and plenty of sockets and ethernet ports above them are a positive. Yes - that makes a lot of sense - thanks these images and inputs help the process... regards Jamie
There's a lot of home offices that squeezed into corridors or broom cupboards. I like the fact that the office seems open and airy. The practical nature of the storage behind, the helpful floor mounted sockets and an ergonomic chair are all great features. Yes - it’s nice to have the perimeter workspace however just like this image it would be great also to have the main desk more in the open space and perhaps facing the garden and approach - sitting with your back to everything can be an issue we can avoid - Regards. Jamie
The open bookcases a lovely. The window bench is also an interesting idea perhaps for the sitting area of the Sun room. It would allow the seating to go back to the wall, increasing the space, and emphasising the garden somewhat. Great spot! Will do. Regards. Jamie
Sue was quite a fan of the bottle rack around the fridge, which makes good use of spare space. Great because this is the same size and shape of the fridge position we had talked about - so this will work! Kind regards Jamie
I like the way that the gap in the bookcase gives only a hint of what is behind it. Making the current double door sized arch through to the playroom smaller.... yes this will work... the doors could be also bookshelves...
The colour scheme is nice. A number of the suggestions have darker floors than we currently do. The TV + Fire combination looks good. That’s great - I’ve drawn something similar for you - more Scandinavian and brighter lighter colours though!
Another example of the bench by the window. The room feels semi outside. The whole inside outside thing - at the moment I am playing around with this for you and we can discuss how the external area can work with the internal area
Like the library wall across the back. We'd need to give some consideration to how the library wall & feature wall complement each other, or whether one feature should be dominant over the other. The good news for your space is that I have set them at 90 degrees to one another so they do not conflict!
Like the feature wall here. We can pick out the feature wall in a tile or stone... at the moment I have placed feature finishes either side of a more plain central focus... this is so that you do not get tired of looking at the feature and it’s easy to update!
Like the sail / lighting combination
Another multilayered sail. Darker colour might work.
Another sail
Multilayered sails look lovely - I agree the layering with the slight drop in levels across the depth of garden will look great! I am adding some visuals on this for you both to discuss at our next review
