OMG i actually have one of these exact units...it was my grandmothers and was left to me. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it. This is amazing. Is it a possibility? i am assuming we would need to protect the wood somehow from the water, but it's in good shape and this just looks very cool
Great use of space in a small room. Given the small little 3rd room upstairs (which will be an office/guest room with a pull out sofa idea....it would be great to add something to that room space that would add interest without taking up too much space....ie some built in shelves for books or drawers for storage into the wall that is now our eaves in that room, but depending on budget may not be worth it.
i pretty much love everything about this room...the neutrals, natural wood, windows and natural light. I like the lamps on the wall instead of on a night table. I like the way the ceiling adds to that natural feel and palette. I even like the window seat...would be better if there was storage in it (ie. drawers) or linen storage inside the bench....i also like the way the look carries into the ensuite.
I like the grey/blue backsplash with white cupboards. I think something like this could work as tile backsplash and still work with grey base/white upper and marble look countertop. The grey tile color here could be carried over to the wall with the glass door onto the deck to balance....where this image uses the glass cabinetry to add that additional pop of color...ours would be on the small amount of realestate on the wall with the door. It seems to work well with the white and the light from the window which we will also have in our kitchen with window and glass door.
This is the concept we like for a kitchen sink. Wider single bowl sink in either stainless or white depending on how the kitchen color scheme comes together.
