Interior Misc
Minus the Buddha, this is a clever idea for an indoor waterfall.
Like the table setting in a nook with great windows! Looks like maybe some lower vent windows. Don’t care for the specific table and chairs or chandelier.
Like the angles and double doors.
Nice idea to have the upper windows for ventilation. And I like the elongated fireplace. Nothing else grabs me.
Wow - spectacular door! Love the mahogany color. Gorgeous.
Like the railings. Wonder if that's an elevator? Interesting to hide it with a slider door if that's what's going on there.
If that’s an indoor fountain, it’s very cool. I’d love an indoor fountain. Especially if it could be heard in my master bedroom and maybe office/library area.
FYI: We’re not big fans of chandeliers in general and definitely not gaudy ones.
Definitely don’t need or want this level of decorative work.
This would be WAY overkill for us for a closet.
Pretty, but far more ornate with wall panels, etc than we’d want. We have much simpler taste. Our current home doesn’t even have crown molding, although that might interest Gwyn in our new home. Tasteful, but not over the top is more our style. Function over fashion, but enough fashion to be “nice.”
Just a note that we really like ceiling fans (have to be high quality, very quiet ones though). We currently have them in pretty much every room except kitchen, laundry, and bath rooms...oh, and not in the formal dining room.
We actually like shutters quite a bit, but probably wouldn’t want them in “view” rooms. Could certainly be used on any back side windows though. They can be nice to control light and heat as you want more or less of each.
Hmm. This elevator makes me wonder if it might be good to go just a bit larger than the round ones or at least have space for a wheelchair and an attendant for our later years. It also reminds me that we would want to put grab bars and other safety features in showers etc., right from the beginning too.
This elevator is nicer looking too.
This one looks a little more traditional.
Gwyn has arthritis in one knee already, so depending on cost, it might not hurt to build in something tasteful like this right from the beginning.
This,is probably to big, but it might be nice to have a gathering area central to second floor, with master suites off to the sides.
Like how the second floor is built just part way out, leaving bigger views on main level.
Everything arranged for view out.
I like the large two-story open area in general. But I might make the kitchen just one story to create a larger sitting area on the second floor. Maybe consider a grand staircase up,each side to the second level?
Gorgeous entryway and balcony.
Pretty. I like that the TV isn’t the major, focus in this room.
Love the two story view. Interesting idea to have matching staircases n both sides.
Somehow, I find that intriguing that a staircase goes up to a single door.
I keep seeing these. What is it?
Fun little relaxing nook.
Clever use of under stair area. Is that carpet on the stairs? Nice visual effect.
Like the tile and color scheme
