Victorian Home on Mt Tabor
Lo que dicen los Houzzers:
Size and color of backsplash. Like the darker grout.
This feels closer to what we're looking for. I don't want a glossy dark granite counter -- grey soapstone or slate with a smooth matte finish. I like the simple cabinet faces. I am trying to think of a way to avoid a tiled/grouted backsplash behind the cooktop -- I presently have white grouted, white subway tile, and it's a lot of work keeping them clean (I cook a lot, and exuberantly).
the inset wall with the stove has a great old feel to it. I really like the open shelves mixed in and the large window over the sink... Since we don't like our neighbors, nor the sight of the property.. could we move the stove to that wall making it across from the sink in the island? I wouldn't even be opposed to having 2 sinks for different/additional prepping and cleanup areas. I would also like to have a oven with multiples.. a large one as well as a smaller one to accommodate entertaining and cooking different items at different temperatures.
