Spring Garden
The challenge was to create an airy, high-functioning, low budget kitchen for a newly disabled chef and his wife. A wall was removed to allow in light and a view to the outside world. The table base doubles as a prep centre and is wheelchair accessible. The base is a cabinet which opens into the living room for extra storage. The kitchen was gutted and reconfigured to maximize easy access to equipment and dishes and traffic flow . Hard wearing laminate was a must for the wheelchair. To keep the budget in check, therma foil cabinets were used.
