Powder Rooms
Our client wanted specialty finishes in her main floor powder room. She wanted something "wow" to go with her ornate vanity mirror and her Spanish-style persona. She didn't want just a straight color, and definately no wallpaper seams. We first re-textured the walls to cover up the orange-peel texture, and began the glazing process by first embedding a stenciled pattern, glazing over top with metallics and glazes. Then came the ceilings which kind of would have flat-lined with so much richness on the walls. I proposed to her a sexy tone of deep chocolate; broken leafed banding in silver leafing with a burnishing wash to age. Yummy.
