Plant Combinations
Foreground: Stachys byzantina (Lamb's Ear) Hardy ground cover, evergreen, prefers full sun, drought tolerant, leaves are velvety soft.
Mid-ground: Sedum confusum (Lesser Mexican Stonecrop) Succulent and easy to grow, turns reddish with winter chill, prefers full sun, drought tolerant, yellow blooms in summer.
Back: Barely seen shrub is Coprosma repens 'Rainbow Surprise' Mirror Plant. Drought tolerant, prefers full sun but can take part shade. These plants are wonderful in a garden, they are variegated all year and come in different colors, then when winter chill sets they take on a warmer coloration. This one starts green with apricot and some pink and turns a reddish pink in Winter. On my website i have a spot about Mirror Plants and some of the varieties.
