Kitchen transformation in blue
This project involves the relocation of the kitchen, utility and dining room. The concept was to create a space where the kitchen and dining area would be connected and in the heart of the home. The brief was to accommodate a family of four and create a classic blue kitchen with a compact working triangle. Contrasting plain white quartz worktops, as well as elegant looking and technologically advanced appliances, were chosen to complete the look. Looking at the kitchen clockwise, the hob run houses an AEG Gas on Glass Hob with the AEG integrated extractor in the middle and the two AEG tall larder fridge and freezer either side. A bench follows under the window with useful storage, where the children can sit and be part of the cooking process. The tall oven housing is located next to the bench, behind the island and shows off the touch display AEG Oven and Microwave. To keep the working triangle compact, the sink is placed in the centre of the island close to the hob and fridge. The AEG Comfort lift dishwasher was placed at the left hand of the sink, close to the crockery area with the glazed dresser and large drawers to easily unload and store the clean crockery. The utility room features AEG Tumble Dryer and Washing machine with the stacking kit/shelf in between which helps holding the laundry basket. This solution was necessary to save space and keep everything organised. The result was an impressive, comfortable kitchen that feels like home.
