Arranged by CharlotteA midcentury bedroom with dark green walls, gold details and warm wooden tones. The chest of drawers is a Danish design from 1950's with original knobs. Mixing in some mustard yellow and textures to make the room feel relaxed and calm.
Mon Concept HabitationDes menuiseries sur-mesure pour plus de rangements
? Le principal challenge de ce projet ? Une faible hauteur sous plafond, une surface réduite et…des poutres apparentes. Notre mission première était donc de créer des rangements esthétiques, intelligents sans perdre trop d’espace.
? Dans le salon : une menuiserie semi-mesure. La base du meuble et les portes MDF viennent d’ikea. Dans l’entrée, le rangement s’entremêle avec les poutres, ne faisant plus qu’un. Il s’agit d'une création Mon Concept Habitation.
? Une verrière dans la salle de bain s’ouvre sur la chambre. Habile création pour ventiler la SBD tout en renforçant l’esthétisme de la chambre. Cette dernière arbore des airs de jungle urbaine avec ses murs colorés au Cromarty n°285 de @farrowandball et son papier peint Misty Forest by @rebelwalls.
? La cuisine, compacte, est tout de blanc afin de capter la lumière et visuellement agrandir la pièce. Nous lui avons donné un petit cachet en utilisant, pour la faïence ,des zelliges noir. Artisanaux et satinés ils reflètent la lumière tout en créant une magnifique ambiance.

Diego Alejandro Interior DesignFrom the beginning, I envisioned creating a clean, white palette for the overall look of the apartment, but I also wanted to create some beautiful, unexpected surprises through blocks of color. On the master bedroom wall behind the bed, I installed a vibrant turquoise green silk wallpaper. The color evokes the green waters of la Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta (Spanish for Large Marsh of Santa Marta) in Colombia, where the black and white Leo Matíz photograph “Pavo Real del Mar” hanging over the bed was taken more than 60 years ago. I saw a smaller version of the photograph for the first time in a gallery in Chelsea, NY.

Breathe Design StudioOur Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.
