What was originally an unremarkable hospice garden with lots of clutter is now an enchanting space that is accessible not only to staff, ambulant patients and families but to everyone within the hospice community, including patients in wheelchairs and those too poorly to leave their beds. Bad pathways have been removed and the garden redesigned so that the new pathways pass between beautiful boldly planted flowerbeds and raised planters. An excellent bridge has been constructed over a tranquil pool and a large established tree in the centre of the garden has been enhanced by the garden’s design to create a wonderful focal point. All works have been completed by the contractor to a very high standard and the design developed in conjunction with the hospice community.
