The square, horizontal/vertical layout gives a modern feel, which is merges with its wooded surroundings thanks to a combination of wood, brick, stone and slate. The height of the pergola frames the landscape and creates a cosy atmosphere under the surrounding tall trees.

Acorn Ponds & Waterfalls brought this Rochester (NY) front yard landscape to life with the installation of this stunning custom designed water feature which consists of bubbling urns, waterfalls, led lighting and beautiful aquatic plants. The sound of water running softly through this lovely water feature provides a relaxing sound that inspires relaxation which makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy all the simple pleasures life has to offer. Not only are water features lovely, they will make any space look more aesthetically pleasing and are the next best thing to living on a lovely lake or a sparking fish pond.
This water feature has bubbling urns which can be installed with multiple sizes in groupings or we can design & install your water feature to have only one gorgeous stand alone urn. We love installing these beautiful urns in pondless waterfalls as well as in streams and fish ponds while adding LED lighting to them. Another cool feature is the addition of FIRE to the top of our fountains which really enhances the whole garden and makes the house stand out from the rest.
The owners can sip their morning coffee on the porch and see a myriad of lovely birds and other pretty wildlife stop by for a quick sip of water. It’s a simple pleasure, but it brings a smile to the lives of our Western NY clients in Rochester & Buffalo New York (NY) and we love what we do.

Aralia: Innovation in Landscape DesignAn award winning Victorian garden design that featured on ITV's 'Britain's Best Gardens' programme. The design features Victorian paviours, a metal pergola, a slate bench and raised brick beds. Unusual lighting and a mixture of traditional cottage garden and architectural planting complete the design.

Owen Landscape ArchitectIt was decided to hide the ugly existing board on board fence that the builder had done and create an independent architectural screen in front of it. Custom milled western red cedar horizontal slats where incorporated into the design. The results speak for themselves!

Mariani LandscapeBenefiting from varied stone and gravel hardscapes, this back yard is used in many ways. Transitions are marked with a change in structure of paths, walls, and features. The dining area is defined by a seat wall that ends where the fire feature area starts. Garden beds surround the space as an accent, softening the space. Flavin ArchitectsModern glass house set in the landscape evokes a midcentury vibe. A modern gas fireplace divides the living area with a polished concrete floor from the greenhouse with a gravel floor. The frame is painted steel with aluminum sliding glass door. The front features a green roof with native grasses and the rear is covered with a glass roof.

BE Landscape DesignThis growing family needed to maximize their outdoor space. BE Landscape Design, elevated the Master BR deck, and fire-pit, designed a multi level BBQ for easy access to both lounge and dining areas. The retaining wall was removed and replaced with a nook for a built in dining bench. The large retaining wall was painted graphite grey, and faced with sturdy 'stallion wire' to support scented and flowering vines. The hillside was planted with native and shade tolerant plants.
TLC GardensCustom created shade sails provide compression and intimacy. Playful steppers were tested for optimal rhythm and flow.

SCJ Studio Landscape ArchitectureIn Seattle's Fremont neighborhood SCJ Studio designed a new landscape to surround and set off a contemporary home by Coates Design Architects. The narrow spaces around the tall home needed structure and organization, and a thoughtful approach to layout and space programming. A concrete patio was installed with a Paloform Bento gas fire feature surrounded by lush, northwest planting. A horizontal board cedar fence provides privacy from the street and creates the cozy feeling of an outdoor room among the trees. LED low-voltage lighting by Kichler Lighting adds night-time warmth .

BK Landscape DesignThis was a garden space that was a blank slate. All that existed before we conceptualized this garden was water loving turf. BKLD added two outdoor entertaining spaces in this small yard with a colored concrete patio and a crushed rock terrace for an informal fire feature. Umbrella stands were poured into the concrete so that outdoor umbrella's could provide shade and not blow away in this windier corridor of Petaluma. Who's ready for a beverage and some smores?
