Leanne Michael L U X E lifestyle designAs you enter into the home of Vicki Gunvalson of the real housewives of Orange County you are greeted with fresh Spainish white walls in a matte finish and ebony brown doors and trim, hand painted / custom stenciled tiles above the baseboards to define the space, all original art work, custom iron candle sconces, two new oushak area rugs, a live Japanese Maple, preserved cypress trees in rustic baskets and live euphorbia in blue and white porcelain planters.

Story LLCThis "drop zone" for coats, hats and shoes makes the most of a tight entry area by providing a well-lit place to sit and transition to home. The sconces are West Elm and the coat hooks are Restoration Hardware in the Dover line.
Natasha Sanchez/ Featured InteriorsDesign is often more about architecture than it is about decor. We focused heavily on embellishing and highlighting the client's fantastic architectural details in the living spaces, which were widely open and connected by a long Foyer Hallway with incredible arches and tall ceilings. We used natural materials such as light silver limestone plaster and paint, added rustic stained wood to the columns, arches and pilasters, and added textural ledgestone to focal walls. We also added new chandeliers with crystal and mercury glass for a modern nudge to a more transitional envelope. The contrast of light stained shelves and custom wood barn door completed the refurbished Foyer Hallway.

Enhancing a home’s exterior curb appeal doesn’t need to be a daunting task. With some simple design refinements and creative use of materials we transformed this tired 1950’s style colonial with second floor overhang into a classic east coast inspired gem. Design enhancements include the following:
• Replaced damaged vinyl siding with new LP SmartSide, lap siding and trim
• Added additional layers of trim board to give windows and trim additional dimension
• Applied a multi-layered banding treatment to the base of the second-floor overhang to create better balance and separation between the two levels of the house
• Extended the lower-level window boxes for visual interest and mass
• Refined the entry porch by replacing the round columns with square appropriately scaled columns and trim detailing, removed the arched ceiling and increased the ceiling height to create a more expansive feel
• Painted the exterior brick façade in the same exterior white to connect architectural components. A soft blue-green was used to accent the front entry and shutters
• Carriage style doors replaced bland windowless aluminum doors
• Larger scale lantern style lighting was used throughout the exterior
Burrow & NestThis grand entryway was given a fresh coat of white paint, to modernize this classic farmhouse. The Moravian Star ceiling pendant was selected to reflect the compass inlay in the floor. Rustic farmhouse accents and pillows were selected to warm the space.

The Highpoint HouseAll this classic home needed was some new life and love poured into it. The client's had a very modern style and were drawn to Restoration Hardware inspirations. The palette we stuck to in this space incorporated easy neutrals, mixtures of brass, and black accents. We freshened up the original hardwood flooring throughout with a natural matte stain, added wainscoting to enhance the integrity of the home, and brightened the space with white paint making the rooms feel more expansive than reality.

Amy Troute Inspired Interior DesignSecond homes and vacation homes are such fun projects for us and when Portland residents Leslie and Phil found their dream house on the fairway in central Oregon, they asked us to help them make it feel like home. Updates to carpet and paint refreshed the palette for new furnishings, and the homeowners requested we use their treasured art and accessories to truly create that “homey” feeling. We “shopped” their Portland home for items that would work with the rooms we’d designed throughout the house, and the result was immediately familiar and welcoming. We also collaborated on custom stair railings and new island brackets with local master Downtown Ornamental Iron and redesigned a rustic slab fireplace mantel with a local craftsman. We’ve enjoyed additional projects with Leslie and Phil in their Portland home and returned to Bend to refresh the kitchen with quartz slab countertops, a bold black tile backsplash and new appliances. We aren’t surprised to hear this “vacation home” has become their primary residence much sooner than they’d planned!
