DPVA Show House 2010
When I took on this space for the Show House I knew I had a challenge on my hands. My goal was to create an interesting space that would be memorable and get the guests of the show house to start thinking outside of the box when it comes to design. My theme for the space was birds and branches. I started with a coffee table book of Birds of Prey. Those images launched me into the idea of creating a canopy of trees using the ceiling. I used black lacquer branches and tied green napkins to the end to create the look of leaves. A breeze blew from a fan (not pictured) and caused the leaves to blow. The movement cast some very interesting shadows on the ceiling. Bealer Photographic Arts
