Low ceilings and small square footage can easily turn a room into a cave. I kept the decor in this bedroom as simple as I could, using solid bedding and curtains instead of patterned, eschewing throw pillows and blankets, and bringing storage from the floor to the walls (notice the "laundry chair" has been replaced by "laundry hooks") to keep this room from becoming claustrophobic.
