Childhood Memories Recalled
The house has been built to withstand the most severe conditions on the oceanfront. All selections of materials, fasteners (e.g. stainless steel vs. galvanized), hardware, and construction techniques will reflect this design principle.
The home is shingle style, with an artful blending of classical details -- Federal, Georgian, Victorian, Neoclassical and, of course, Charleston adaptations. This mix of different periods will be blended well to create a distinctive addition to the beauty of Kiawah. It looks as if it had always been there.
