California Beach House
In the early evening light, just at the point where the house becomes brighter inside than out, one can see how transparent the house is: plenty of windows and opportunity for daylight & views throughout the day. The entry & front door are recessed - to the right of the double window - to face away from the ocean storms. On a walk street, the kitchen, the porch and the patio planters are aligned to the NW view but at an angle to the main house. Notice the original doug fir ceiling in the second floor sitting room.
