Bespoke Desk and Work Space
Bespoke designed and custom made desk and workspace area.
Our client asked us to design a new desk for her home office, which was to meet her specific needs. The existing desk had wasted leg-room space and inadequate storage. Our brief was to create a desk that made better use of the space, as well as being easier to use.
We designed and produced a beautiful new desk and workspace, which combines looks and practicality. The fabulous desktop is made from solid local ash with a beautiful light grain. The knob handles are ash to match and contrast nicely with the base, painted in Farrow and Ball “Farrow’s Cream”. The set of soft-close drawers also include an extra-deep drawer for suspension files as well as a top pullout to extend the work surface.
Key to the whole design was to re-organise the electrics to fit around the desk and its use. The router was relocated above the desk, and the numerous plug sockets were tidied away in the flip-up storage above the desk at the back allowing easy access and ample room for future additions. The desk also has various access cut outs for wires, keeping them out of sight.
The finished result is lovely, as well as ticking all of the boxes of our brief. And our lovely client is happy too.
