Kitchen paint job

Hi. We bought a new place and I love the kitchen cabinets. But the kitchen as such seems to lack something. Could a fresh coat of paint do the trick? If so what color?

    Hi I am a Kitchen Designer in the UK and we specialise in Hand-painted Kitchens. Take a look at the Farrow and Ball Range of colours. Obviously colours are very subjective but I would recommend a lighter colour which will give you a fresh change. I'll attempt to attach a few pics of some of mine.     I would like to know what is adjacent to this kitchen? do you have color on the walls in that room or do you have a family room? what color upholstery ?

    Adjacent to the kitchen is a small dining area.. Plain white walls there too. We haven't picked out furnishings yet.

    choosing a color is not a hard thing, there are two ways of doing this; if you want to paint the rooms before furnishing- go with some neutral colors or wait until you furnish and choose the colors from your upholstery.
    if you don't know what neutral colors are - your local paint stores can help you with that or research online. If you are living in a cold place go with some earthy tones or for warm place go with gray tones.
