In Home Wine Cellar

I have seen a number of wine cellars with glass walls both solid and with what looks to be aluminum framing. I was wondering what thickness of glass is normally used for the cellar in a home? Is it 1/4 inch thick or 1/2 inch thick or some other thickness. Where do you typicall source the glass walls from? Thanks.

These are custom built and IMO more for looks thatn real practicality. They need proper temperature control and the fact that they have glass wall makes that more difficult. Ther eis a reason that wine storage is called ‘cellar” that is still the best place to store wine .

    Hello Tim Hall,

We specialize in wine cellar enclosures. We make our frame out of genuine solid bronze, the best material on the market. We use tempered insulated glass to properly protect your wine. Along with this, we also have thermally broken and non thermally broken frames depending on the style you would like your cellar to be, both of our product lines, Revival and Nexus have narrow site lines, and are custom-made in San Antonio, TX.
