How to Winterize Pavillion

Mar
hace 3 años

We’re building a pavilion, similar but larger than this, and we’re discussing how to winterize it since we live in near Buffalo, NY. We would like to store the furniture in there with covers but we want keep the snow out. We’re thinking of sliding hanging walls like they do with barn doors sometimes so that we can slide them out of the way or remove them in the spring. What other ways can we do it so that it doesn’t look terrible in the winter and so that we can possibly use it in the winter if we choose.

Hmmm... since this is a Texas project, we don't really have that problem of "winterizing" any of our patio covers. I think the barn door thing would be a great idea. There are restaurant patios down here that install a really thick clear plastic wall -- one that is on rollers that can be rolled up or down depending on the weather. That might be an option -- not sure where to find that material and it certainly would not be as attractive or within the design of the project.

Best of luck. Texas Custom Patios
