Does anyone have these and if so do you need an electrician to replace the fixture When it goes out or just replace the bulb?

    Hey Welissa,

    If the fixtures are line-voltage (120V), call an electrician as you need proper certifications to handle the potentially dangerous voltage.

    If low-voltage like I assume they are, you will want to determine the source of the outage before committing to another major purchase; essentially is it the bulb or the fixture. To do this, as the individual above mentioned, start with swapping out the bulb if possible. If you are unsure how to do this, visit the manufacturer's website and check the specs; usually low-voltage lights are pretty simple to service. If the fixture does not illuminate with the brand new bulb in it, I would then recommend removing the fixture and testing it directly at the transformer. This will confirm whether the fixture is the culprit or possibly even a damaged power cable leading to the fixture.
