Tiling onto an Eclisse pocket door

We have purchased and installed the Syntesis Flush Single Pocket Door System with no architrave.

Given the product is used largely in bathrooms, can anyone suggest how this can be finished at door and tile junction.

Our builder has suggested a silver beading but I think this detracts from the contemporary, minalmalist look we are aiming for.

Has anyone used this system before and can make a suggestion? Photos welcome.

    We have this system, but we have architrave which the tile goes up against. Is it too late to add architrave? Another idea, is to use a the tile trim you have chosen but in a colour to match the tiles. I know a lot of people don’t like the plastic edgings, but it was used by the builders in my Dad’s retirement apartment and I didn’t notice it for about the first 6 visits. The colour match is good though.

      I would just use a white painted wood strip all around, to match the door. Or if the door will be painted a different colour, paint to match that colour.

      @ Pookes - this is a common situation where the external corners are often forgotten.

      Have you gone back to your tiling supplier to see if the tiles that you bought have a ceramic/porcelain corner section available?

      if so, and depending on the dimensions, you may be able to give yourself the minimalist look that you are looking for.

      Unfortunately your first photograph, showing the aluminium trim, is typical of the covering up of a design detail that has been forgotten. This maybe your only option although there are colour alternatives available that might make it easier to live with.

      The strip is a good option, but make sure the color will either match the tile or the door, as Brandler said.
