Don't want anything that hangs too low as the ceilings are only of average height. Intend to put a new lamp in also.

Si no te obstinas por poner fotos tuyas variadas y pequeñás, puedes encargar un vinilo autadhesivo, con una imagen de la más alta definición, que haga tu instrumento, o comprar alguna en un banco de imágenes. Procuras que la parte alta izquierda sea lo más neutra posible y pegas la imagen sobre el paramento completo, incluso sobre el frente del split. (0) comentariosNEW PROJECT: Built in the 90's this post-modern house was conceived in the spirit of its time. Its top floor had a classical Greek-inspired coronation which seemed witty and clever at the time, but it gave the house a very dated look. Even worse, its shape and volume, blocked the amazing sea views of the mediterranean from the house. Rardo architects proposed to demolish this old volume and to create a new floor on top. Taking elements from the existing metallic structure at the ground floor we proposed a light roof with a glass perimeter. The concept was to create a total open plan space, so its owners could enjoy from this new elevated study-living space to retrieve and enjoy the views with friends and family, and relax. (5) comentariosMe parece muy original y bien combinado todo. Lo que menos me gusta es la foto de la mesa de comer, me recuerda las películas de miedo. El resto me parece muy bonito y acogedor. A mi me gustan los espacios más despejados pero reconozco la estética de otros estilos aunque vayan en contra de mis principios. Jeje jeje. Un acierto las paredes rojas y la vitrina de madera muy muy bonita. Los adornos que tienes encima de la vitrina también aportan un aire especial, pese a que como he dicho, no me van tantos objetos. hace 5 añosA little bump as I'm still struggling with this and my decor is now pretty much done (pending some wall art and fixing that mirror up).
I'd like as much light as possible to be thrown from the single light fixture.
Someone suggested the IKEA bamboo shades but they're far too large for the room (ceilings are 2400mm high).

Your post caught my eye because your living room photo reminded me of my old home's living room. Initially we decorated it with crystal style lights (pendant, floor and table).
Later on we have changed the lighting to our starry ceiling panels that gave the room a completely different atmosphere.I hope you will find the best solution to your living room lighting!
