When it rains, does this roof get loud?.

    Yes it’s a uninsulated roof so you can hear the sound of the rain.

    We used the same roofing materials on the home and garage as well. You can only hear the rain, when it’s really heavy or if it’s hailing.

    The material is Gavalume galvanized aluminum, and I highly recommend it. It will only rust where it’s been cut, so unlike a traditional barn style roof where it eventually will all rust, this will stay looking like new.

      Yes there’s no insulation between the roof and underneath so it’s loud, though the same roof is on the house which is very quiet because it’s insulated.

      The concept for this design was to replicate a typical bar you would find in the Caribbean. Which would have no insulation of course.

      Sorry so many questions but..... Does it get hot underneath with the uninsulated metal roof?

      Its an open structure, so when its hot outside its hot underneath the panels are a dull aluminum color so it does reflect some of the suns rays, its also in a shaded area, which probably helps as well. We have constructed a few of these in various areas and have never had any complaints due to being too hot. Hope that helps.
