under lit bathroom counter top

I understand that the countertop is under lit however what is the countertop material made of that allows for illumination such as this?

    Thank you for enjoying this beautiful powder room. Yes the material on the counter top is translucent so that the light does illuminate the top. There are many natural stones that can be used to give this result. I suggest you go to a professional stone/marble supplier and review the options with them that allow light to pass through beautifully. That's what we did to find what we wanted for this client.

    Just tell her it’s Quatz and that some thin light marble also can be used, instead of sending her off to someone. 🤨
