hace 6 añosÚltima modificación: hace 6 añosYou have a nice space but you need to add personality and color! Lots of colors will work in your room. Which colors make you happy?
You can add color with throw pillows, accessories, area rugs, art.
Your space isn't big enough to pull off a contrasting color curtain so look for a solid, substantial panel that is close to the wall color. Hang them high and wide. What is on your window right now? Do you need constant privacy?
Your horse picture looks lonely and is hung too high.

I moved in here early this month. I love colors orange, yellow and red....can I get multi-colored blinds and then pick colors from it for throw pillows-vases n wall decors?Bukky Oshodi Gbadamosi

If you really feel stuck right now, you could always just find a photo of a room you like on Houzz with similar furniture to yours & borrow ideas from the photo. Here are my opinions since you've asked. Adding a large area rug right on top of your wall to wall carpet, get an area rug in the colors that you like would add a lot & pull the room together more, be sure to place the sofas at least partially on the rug, not around it and away from it. also adding some oversized large art on some of the walls, or another options is to add large groupings of smaller framed art. Adddd pillows with pops of your colors as well. I would avoid the multi color blinds you spoke of since you asked, they sound limiting and you might get tired of them over time. Blinds are not cheap & are a pain to measure for, not something to redo often if it can be avoided. I would go neutral with blinds & pop your rug, art, pillows, vases etc. as I mentioned. If over time you want to change those items it will be easy.

Autor originalhace 6 añosThank you. I will take the cue. Please do you have any neutral blind colors in mind? I feel sooo clueless. I will look up to see if I can get a space and furniture set up similar to mine.Lunada Consulting & Design, Inc.
hace 6 añosSimple additions to do:. Add drapery panels to the existing window, throw pillows on the sofas, accent rug over your carpet, and art to wall behind the sofa. You can use your favorite colors since the space has a neutral palette. Have fun making your new house a home!New Mountain Style Home · Más informacióndeegw
hace 6 añosÚltima modificación: hace 6 añosDo you need new blinds? The ones you have right now look fine from the pictures. Most blinds come in three colors - bright white, off white and wood tone. Two inch blinds look more fresh but they might be expensive and heavy because your window is wide.
Curtain panels come in all different colors but I think what will work best for your your room is to find some that are close to the wall color. Then you can go really bold with your pillows, art and accessories and you won't worry about the curtains and accessories clashing. You don't want your curtains to be the focal point, you want the living area to catch people's eye.
Here is a good inspiration room for you.
This pillow is from Bed, Bath and Beyond. The tray is too. It would look good on your coffee table.

hace 6 añosI like the second set of drapery panels selected with the darker brown at the base. Will tie in nicely with your sofas. Also you may want to keep your blinds in place for privacy and the drapery panels act as accent hanging just at the sides of the window. It creates a very functional combination. Also like the pillow and tray selected by d_gw. The orange makes the perfect pop of color! It's coming together!

Autor originalhace 6 años@lunanda, thanks a lot. I’ll go with the orange and brown combo. @having fun, I have a very large area to cover. My space is much bigger than it appears in the pic. Wont that cost an arm? I do like the ones with orange patterns though.havingfun

hace 6 añosYou have many choices... I like the width which reminds me of the chair backs/ with large opening/handle -- not dainty pattern at all:

hace 6 añosÚltima modificación: hace 6 añosShould have said that the splatter pillow/ floor pillow items could go well with your orange/brown curtains.
This light rust could also go with curtains, but with another rust/ earthy pillow added in.

hace 6 añosÚltima modificación: hace 6 añosIf you buy a rug, I'd avoid lines and stripes, cause both pieces have several lines of their own. Free form organic would to me seem better.
