Beautiful design, want to know more about the materials used

The walls are obviously concrete - are they constructed from hollow concrete blocks? What material was used for the roof? Looks great, were solar panels used?

    The walls are poured concrete. We used horizontal boards as forms for the concrete. We insulated the walls between two concrete pours where we wanted to have concrete walls on the inside.. We did not use concrete blocks. The roof is a metal standing seam. The roof over the living area is Galvalume. The remaining pitched roofs were powder coated, dark bronze. The flat roofs support green vegetation. No solar panels. We installed a geothermal system for heat and ac. We did use a number of solar tubes for light. Thanks for your interest.

      Who did the concrete work? Did you use thermomass for insulated concrete walls?

      The concrete walls were site poured using board forms. We poured two wythes and used rigid insulations between.

      Thank you for your response. Who was the concrete contractor that did the work? This type of work is rare in Minnesota. Your design is amazing!
