anyone ever used vinyl plank flooring for kitchen living room areas?

tired of laminate, i also have a dog.

wondering if anyone has used this product before

    Vinyl plank flooring has been a HOT seller for almost 10 years. People have been using it as whole-home flooring options for the entire time. There are some draw backs to the product. Vinyl does NOT like direct sunlight and it does not like excessive heat. That means in hot southern climates, tile is still the best option.

    I have used this with many clients who want the look of wood but need durability for pets and kids etc. There are so many really nice looking options, the heat thing is true, but its gotta be pretty extreme. Best - Anna

    Used a laminate with a water guard on top so it just mopes clean with damp mop. Warm floor and so easy care. Initially walking on it creates a popping sound, but that went away. Very happy with it as pet issues are easier to deal with. Scratch and dent resistant. $4-$6 sq ft for 8mm-12 mm, so it is not that cheap really.. Vinyl would smell too much.
