    Hi mllyjhns, this fan can be installed flush to the ceiling, but be aware that you may not experience the optimum cooling effect this unit is able to generate when using this install method.

    Thanks. Also is there any other pictures available? I am having a hard time seeing what color it is. Black or silver?

    Does the fan come with an extension pole. We need it down 5 to 8 feet?

    This fan comes standard with a 6" downrod. We also sell downrods in 12", 18", and 24" lengths.

    For those who need downrods longer than those available (as in your case), customers have successfully fashioned their own downrod using 1/2" metal conduit with holes drilled for installation. Note that you may also have to extend your wiring to accomodate the longer downrod, as the black/white wiring is 78" long and the ground wire is 53".

    I live in an A-Frame and currently have a white ceiling fan (old) with a gold finish pole. The fan is at the perfect length. Can I spray paint the pole and if so with what brand and color?

    Hi kkpami, First be sure that your current downrod has a 1/2" opening and can accomodate installation of this fan (use safety features such as cables, support weight of the fan, have holes for all keeper pins, etc). In some situations, it may be better to create a custom downrod (or purchase one of our downrods in 12", 18", or 24" lengths) to be sure your fan is installed safety and securely.

    Unfortunately, we do not have any paint suggestions that would perfectly color match - we do describe this fan as "brushed nickel" or silver in color.

    Does this fan come with a down rod and if so, what length? If not, what are the options & costs?
