    Hi Asifa,

Either will look good, it really just a personal preference. Do you want to match the neighbouring houses or do you not mind? Are there any planning restrictions that limit your choice?

Here is a red brick cottage where we replaced old timber windows with modern aluminium frames. They opted to have a clear glass face to the windows for maximum light into the home.

On this house they chose to opt for glazing bars within the windows as the home owners preferred the traditional appearance and wanted their home to continue that design.

You can see that both options can look great but it will depend what finish you would prefer.

You can view some more images of windows with and without glazing bars at our website: www.hedgehogaluminium.com

We also have a large glazing showroom at the Sky House Design Centre in Amersham. Let me know if you would like to arrange an appointment to visit and you can see these examples in person.

Could you post a photo of your house? The cost difference won't be significant, but the look will be.

Just curious, what are people's thoughts on a Georgian bar in
    bathroom windows with obscured glass?

Hi, I think it depends on the style off all the windows in your home. if all the windows have a Georgian bar, it'd only make sense for the bathroom window to have it too. what sort of obscure glass is it? does if have a simple satin finish or a patterned obscurity glass? if it's got a simple satin finish, it shouldnt look too bad.

Do ask your window company if they do visuals at all to help you envisage and picture what it looks like before you make a decision.

Good luck and all the best!

It depends on the style of the house. I would try to make it match the rest of the terrace.
    Any pics?

Hi, either will be nice, just personal preference really? Georgian bars will be slightly more in price but not a huge difference...
