Help with bedroom decorating

I just painted, new floors and tore out reach in closet and replaced with pax units.. Problem is dark bed.. black upholstery part can be changed but to what? or do you think it's okay.. also need advice on lamps I considered white guord lamps or west elm Mercury lamp I do have another bedside table I am painting now .. and over head lighting.. crystal flush mount or sputnik or? I do have a matching west elm chevron duvet on the way..
I feel I am failing with the decorating and nothing is working.. any advice would be helpful.. should I invest in a new bed? anything you would change.. I like a bit post modern, Scandinavian and a little glam.. hope that makes sense..

(26) comentariosBuenas tardes, Estoy encantada con este sorteo. Soy una apasionada de la decoración y tenia pensado ir a Casa Decor. Seguramente sera un poco tarde pero acabo de enterarme y como ponía que terminaba hoy he intentado hacer las fotos lo mas rápido posible. Cuando me encapriche de esta casa sabia que este pequeño porque no nos serviría para las reuniones de verano en familia y que con un patio grande no tenia sentido. Pero mi marido no estaba muy decidido y al tener un solo mes para mudarnos y un presupuesto ajustado tuvimos que ir a lo imprescindible. Casi un año después sigo odiando el suelo poco agradecido y la separación entre la cocina el salón y ese pequeño porche que no usamos. Sin embargo estoy un poco atascada con la planificación de la nueva distribución para abrir la cocina al salón e integrar ese porche que nos de el espacio apropiado para poner la mesa de comedor junto a la cocina. Así mismo tampoco nos ponemos de acuerdo en como cambiar el suelo, teniendo en cuenta que vivimos aquí y con una niña pequeña. Os adjunto algunas fotos para que os hagáis un idea de los espacios. (3) comentariosHi Cristina, your table looks very beautiful however I discourage to have such furniture at home because of the mirrors. I work as a feng shui consultant and I know that the mirrors have some kind of power and one should be very carful placing them in the house. My personal opinion is to have a mirror in the place where the mirror can´t see you while you are resting or sleeping because in long term it can have negative influence on you. The mirror was created to look at it and it shouldn´t be used extensively also because of the reflections of the light. The human eye naturally is used to see the light coming from certain directions, if it comes from the direction which is not used to the light, especially artificial one, it may effect your vision or have negative influence on your mood. I'm talking about something very subtle which sometimes may be felt after some time. Another thing is that I always encourage people to don´t use repetitive patterns in the house just simple irregular forms and calm and worm colours which make the space more cozy and more natural. I agree about the TV but I can't sleep with out it.. my dark bed is huge it has 2 1/2" wooden ledge on both sides bed and the sleigh arch pushes the bed 5 inches from wall.. I am thinking I'd prefer an upholstered grey bed.. vs new bedside tables.. what do you think? I took a photo of my round living room tables... it does look more spacious.. but no drawer space in them.. I also brought the clear living room lamp.

I like the dark round side tables better if that's what you have. they are less bulky. If you go after "the look" you have to compromise lack of storage :)
TV, consider smaller? Or sound machine if sleep is the issue... It's all about your habit and being brave to just try it for couple days :)
Upholstered bed would be my choice too. We stage with them and love them! You can get them inexpensively via wayfair (that's my go to shopping site)
